“Everything in moderation, including moderation.”

What a great idea, but try to implement it.

It had come to my attention that the less fortunate on the far East End of London, would think that I am Prince Edward VII himself for living the way that I do. Living in Grosvenor Square, where the upper crust of Londoners dwell and also owning a home in the country side; may indeed lead these working class to have fancy-full fantasies about my life.

Unlike the poor, I came from old money. I was raised by my grand daddy Lord Kelso.

Lord Kelso is the father of Lady Margeret, my mother.
My mother, Lady Margeret Devereux died a year after conceiving me.
I was told that she died due to heart break of her husband’s passing. Rumour has it, that my father was murdered by my grand father because my mother married a lesser man outside of her class. The story had no prof, hence my grand father was never convicted of any crime.

I did once hated my grand father, for not knowing who my dad was. I’ve never even seen a photo of his likeness and never met my mother. My only memories of my mother are some old photographs that I cherish. She looks so beautiful. She never aged. Some day I shall also never grow old like my dear mother.
As time went by, I forget the hated that I had for Lord Kelso. I enjoyed an opulent life and I still do.

Upon my 20th year, I was able to leave Lord Kelso’s residence and settled in where I am today, in a Chateau like home full of rooms and servants at my disposal.

‘If everything needs to be done in moderation, then so is moderation’ as Oscar Wilde would often say, when others try to shame him into privation. But sadly for him, he eventually succumbed to poverty.

I do nothing in moderation. Not even my wishes. I do what I please and when I please. I might even have more freedom than the Prince himself.
